DVCPro HD footage acquired from P2 cards (copied first to a fw drive on set). When I ingest it, it comes in as 720p60, but when I look at it frame by frame, it has the 720p24 redundent-frame pattern. I had “remove redundent frames” checked in the P2 import window, but it came in as 59.94 media with the “DVCPro HD 720p60” compressor. Is this correct, and if so, what are the workflow issues with having so many redundent frames

You can remove the redundant frames after the fact by using the Panasonic frame converter plugin tool, available from panasonic’s website and on your FCP 5.1 install disc.

My assistant kind of screwed the pooch on this one, and I wound up having to cut at 60p due to time contraints. Anything I can do now that it’s cut? Using the plugin seems to keep some redundent frames (i.e., each cut has a different cadence). I’d like to have a 24p master. Thanks
