Anyone know exactly how the Kona LHe configures the down-convert from 720p60 to NTSC 525i? Are the 60P frames mapped one to one with the 60i fields, resulting in interlaced output?

one frame per field is converted with 60p content to 60i content. there is no progressive output in an SD video stream it always needs to playback as interlace.

I understand that the display system is always interlaced, but wondered whether the LHe handled the downconvert in this most sensible way. Indeed it does, as I’ve since supported with a simple test.

Unfortunately, it appears that Final Cut Pro and Compressor are not so precise with downconversions.
