    Good day,
I am working on a AVID express pro hd upgraded to media composer (software only), and trying to batch capture timeline in HD over firewire 400. Show tapes shot 720p60 was loaded into a 30i job to edit sd. Now when I go to batch capture timeline it keeps aborting. I can only change job to a 720p29.97 or 1080i59.94. In 720p29.97 when I go to capture over firewire 400 it states that there is no video signal. In 1080i59.96 when I go to capture the picture is not interlaced. Is there a way I can convert the job to 720p59.97 or can the AJ HD 1400 60 take a tape shot 720p60 and spit it out 1080i59.94?

RTFM. You need to modify the sequence to a 720P 60 sequence, then decompose and recapture in a 720P 60 project.

    Thanks for the response,
How do I go about modifying the job, the only options the Avid gives in the format pulldown menu is 30i 720p29.97 & 1080i59.94?

You need to modify the actual sequence. select the sequence in the bin. Right click. Select modify. Then go to format. You should see an option to go to 720P 60.

I don’t remember if you have to do this in the original 30 frame project or in the 60 frame project. But this is how it is done.

Thanks for your help, the modified sequence has been decomposed and is batching in as I type.
    Thanks again …

The batch dig was going along fine, then started digitizing twice the clip length. When I watch these clips back now they run 2x speed. any idea why . . .
