720p25pn in FCP not working
I have some footage which was shot on a Panasonic AG-HPX500 at 720p25pn which is native to the camera. Inevitably Ican’t just import it into fcp 6.05. I go into Easy set up but the 720p25pn setting is not an option. If I select the nearest option…720p25 then go to Log and transfer, then open, select the video file and try to import I get a warning message that the file is an unsupported format. Am I doing something wrong, is there a codec I need to download, is it my settings, is it my sanity.
If you are able to offer any advice or where to download stuff from, that would be fantastic.

Try searching for your camera model here on the cow to see how others are using it and coping with what must be a common issue for them.
I don’t use that machine but it seems to me most similar questions turn out to be a simple misunderstanding of how the camera achieves a certain frame rate. Are you sure it’s absolute and not being baked into a more conventional tape format?
