    Hi,

Is it possible to import 720p/25 or 720p/50 directly from the P2 Store player into FCP 5.1.1 via the Import P2 function ?

I’ve got some 720p/25 and 50 stuffs shot with the HVX200 and when I tried to import, it failed and reported that the clips may be corrupted ?

Those shot in 1080i50 or 25p got imported without problem.

Do I need to wait for FCP 5.1.2 as I understand that better P2 support.

DVCPROHD 720p25/50 is not supported in FCP 5.1.1, but 1080i50 is. Take a look at imagine products p2 log as they have an intermediate codec that will work until FCP 5.1.2 comes out.

Or they can thank Bjorn Adamski in Germany for posting this link on working with 720p50 in FCP 5.1

it works very well and was shown in a couple of booths at IBC.

Are there any confirmation that FCP 5.1.2 will support 720p50 ?

AFAIK it will NOT support 50p, only 25p. For 50p we’ll have to stick to Bj
