    From what I understand from using the DVX100 for the last few years:

    1080i24p = 29.97 FPS (include 3:2 pulldown)
    1080i24pA – 29.97 FPS (includes 3:2:2:3 pulldown)

    480i24p= 29.97 fps (include 3:2 pulldown)
    480i24pA = (includes 3:2:2:3 pulldown)

    720p24N = 23.98 FPS (native to P2)
    720p24 = 59.94 FPS (I would assume it should be 29.97 with 3:2 pulldown)

    The 720p24 is not importing off the P2 into FCP at the correct framerate. I would assume there should also be 3:2 pulldown but viewing the clips don’t indicate a proper interlaced movie. Is this normal for 720? Can anyone verify this on there clips?

    [Bob Gundu] “720p24 = 59.94 FPS (I would assume it should be 29.97 with 3:2 pulldown)”

    Similar but different. This is 720p60, not 29.97 (it’s 59.94 progressive frames per second, not 59.94 fields per second aka 29.97 frames per second) If you recorded 720p24 you have 24 flagged frames in your 60p cadence. You should put that clip in a 720p60 timeline. The frame rate for that timeline should be 59.94, not 29.97 Use easy set ups in FCP, it’s much easier 😉 Hit control-q, choose DVCProHD 720p60, CREATE A NEW SEQUENCE (very important) and go to town. This is not an FCP bug.
