If anyone sees a problem with the following workflow, please let me know cuz I’m guessing here…

The system: Avid Adrenaline HD 2.2.3 (Windows XP)
The footage: shot on Panasonic Varicam DVC-Pro HD 720p 24 fps
Intended delivery: 720p DVC-Pro HD tape (24fps), to eventually be transferred to 35mm film for festivals.
Audio post: done by me in the Avid.

    The process:
    – create Avid project 720p @ 23.976.
    – Capture original 720p tapes HDSDI & AES/EBU from DVC-Pro HD deck using a lower resolution (60 meg?).
    – Offline edit.
    – Duplicate final sequence; decompose; delete new audio clips and insert-edit good audio from 1st sequence into new one.
    – Batch Capture video HDSDI in same project with all the same settings – but using highest possible resolution.
    – Output to DVC-Pro HD master tape 720p.

Anything I’m missing? Ignoring? Just plain stupid?

Thanks SOOO much in advance for any input/advice!
