I’ve posted a show in 720P60 @ 59.94 in native DVCPro HD codec (lots of multicams, fast moving sports footage). I’ve been asked to deliver 1080i in XDCam HD (1440 x 1080 @ 29.97).
Everything I’ve tried yields a significant stutter on the backgrounds or other fast moving objects, which
I expected. Is there a way to minimize this or am I missing something (other than shoot interlaced next time)?
Using the XDcam Transfer from FCP gives me a black file unless going to a progressive format.

What works at least for getting the file output is:

using compressor to convert it to 29.97 and XDCam codec, then importing to FCP,
then exporting using XDCam transfer to get the MXF wrapper.
