Hi I am working on a project using DVC PRO HD 720P30 codec. I am monitoring video thorough Apple Cinema via Display HD Link box. (v 2.4)

When I set the ouptput processing to 720p to 1080i I am getting artifacts on the monitor, and it looks really bad.

System specs are: Intel Mac 8 core with 4Gig Ram and FCP V.5.1.4
    HD Link Extreme. v 6.1

PS: I have another suite with same specifications with exactly the same problem.

Is there a compatibility issue here?

    Any ideas.

    Thank you.

    Zee.

well the good thing is that you are going from a progessive format 720p to interlaced 1080i. You are probably better off editing in 720p which is IMHO better than 1080i (greater vertical rez)and just rendering your sequence to 1080i 50/59.94. the only boxes that do a decent job are the like of the Terenex Snell etc, and even the HDCamSR does a good job at it. IMHO Blackmagic is hit and miss, somethings they do great and some things they try to do and just do not do well.
