I’ve been shooting some footage in 720/60P on a JVC HD200. Since I was messing around, I did the big no-no and recorded over an old tape (month old, was used only recently). Old content was 720/30P.

Footage looks good, but Premiere Pro 3.0 flips out when trying to capture using in/out points. It will only capture about 2mins before it pauses the camera and wants you to title the clip. It captures fine just hitting record and letting it run but that’s more difficult.

Is HDV this picky about old tapes? I used old tapes all the time for random stuff with DV and never had a problem like this. Is there a problem with 720/60P in Adobe? There is not a preset for it, so I made a custom one which seems to work fine other than this. I think I have the latest updates (3.2…).
