I am completing a 90-minute project on PP CC 2019 on a MAC. The program was shot in 1080/25P, transcoded to Apple ProRes 422 and has multiple streams of video with cc and some effects. I’ve been editing with a Sony PSZ-RA6T RAID 0 hard drive, but I have to take the project to Europe to finish and am trying to avoid bringing the RAID with me. We have backed up the project with a 6 tb/7200rpm Seagate Barracuda Pro drive that is a clone of the RAID. Will the Seagate drive be fast enough or do I have to lug that RAID with me?

Thanks ahead of time — Ashley James

Fast enough for a SINGLE stream, yes. Multiple stream, no. You’ll need a RAID.

if you use premiere’s proxy mode to use prores LT, you can have a bunch of streams playback on one drive.
