Is it possible to create something in 7.0 and open it in 6.0? I’ve got 7.0 Pro but I use 6.0 Pro at school. All I plan to do is import some graphics and arrange them in 3d space, at this point nothing 6.0 couldn’t do. Thanks!

Not really hosed. I’d have to have done something to be hosed. Thanks for the encouragement though. (sarcasm)

Actually after effects IS backward compatible, since newer versions can open older projects. What I think you meant to say is it isn’t “Forward Compatible”, meaning an older version cannot open a project made in a newer version.

Keep your eyes open for a new plugin called “Reversion” that adds some backward compatibility albeit minimal, and obviously the newer features and funtions will not be present when going back. I’m not sure who created it but I saw it working at a AE users group a few months back. Aside from this potential option, there is no “reverse” in After Effects.
