    Hi guys,

In a bit of a bind here. I promised a client a WMV version of this project for review. It’s HDV 1080i60, 7mins. long. I usually use Apple Compressor with Flip4Mac components, using presets I’ve already built (I have a ‘Large’ and a ‘Small’ for 16:9 material). I’ve never tried an HDV project before though and the timer is giving me some outrageous output times: 13 hours?? I ran a version through as H.264 and that only took about 15 minutes.

I also just tried to do a straight QT Conversion from the timeline and FCP froze when it got 10% done. What gives? Are the WMV formats just not able to handle this kind of HD? I’ve made WMV files before from DVCProHD material and never saw this problem…

    TIA, JK
