We have run into a issue recently that had not occured before. When
we import a QT for use, it seems AE is looking at the “current size”
metadata to derive the imported file size instead of looking at “file
size” from the QT. Okay, open in QT Pro and resave with current size
set to file size. Fine. But why would AE look at QT’s in this way?
Is this just a bug or is there a good reason?

Our issue arose because our Quantel systems are writing QT’s on export
with ‘current size’ metadata that is 960×540 for 1920×1080 material.
No big deal if there are only a couple of files, but with more than
that it becomes bothersome to open each file and resave before import.
That’s a Quantel issue but it pointed out a AE issue I think.

Anyone else seen this? I don’t have 5 or 5.5 or 6.0 anymore to test
    either.
