I just ordered the new iMac 27″.
As always I will try to buy the memory somewhere else.

This is the official description from Apple: DDR4 2400 MHz SODIMM (PC4-2400) (compatible with 27‑inch iMac (medio 2017).

What are the current best manufacturers to buy from?
    I found this: HyperX 64 GB DDR4-2400 Quad-Kit, (4 x 16gb). HyperX modules are from Kingston.
    (price is around € 579,-)

    Any thoughts?

    Michiel

Just curious, which processor did you choose and why? I have had good luck buy memory from OWC.

Which processor? I did all options on max. 4,2GHzI7 up to 4,5. 2TB flash HD, Radeon pro 580 8g VRAM.
Why: You can’t replace items after you buy. I like speed very much. I can sell my old iMac. I had a lot of good clients last half year.
The whole configuration is (without tax) around € 4.000,- (without memory what cost me seperate € 600,- for 64GB).
