Hi guys, i’ve got a client that wants some to procure some content of mine, that was originally shot in 1080 30P.. The client however wants it rendered out in a MP4 container, in 50i.. Now, i’m sure if I render out the content and just witch the settings to PAL/50i, it won’t actually make the content 50i.. So, what are my options to get it converted to PAL from NTSC? Go through a post-house, or is there an encoder that would actually do this? Many thanks!

Can you let them deal with it?
Tell em it’s 60i, convert it to your needs if you want to.?

Otherwise try compressing it out to a 25p file.

Hi Chris, I’ll ask them, but I doubt they will accept in 60i. I have a choice to either take it to a post house who will handle it w hardware, albeit for a price… I’m looking to do this myself and my research has led me to believe that virtualdub + avisynth is my solution for 60i to 50i conversion (and a decent one too at that!).. I need some help with this however, any vdub experts here that can guide me? Or any other options? Thanks!
