60fps footage
Hello:
I have received an SD card with 60fps footage to edit. But, I have a problem viewing this material, it is not smooth. Do I have to convert it to 24 or 30fps before viewing, editing it? Or is there something wrong with the original footage?
Any ideas?

Is it AVCHD? is it ProRes? What codec is it? if AVCHD or H.264…it might mean that you need more resources, like more RAM or CUDA support from a graphics card. If ProRes 422, HQ or 4444…you will need faster hard drives to keep up with the high data rate codec. a two drive RAID 0 or better…connected via eSATA or Thunderbolt. FW800 will barely cut it…

Thank you for your reply. The client just told me it is AVC-H2.64.
I guess the problem is my computer, I dont have Cuda technology. Im converting the files with compressor. Cannot find any other solution. -
Yeah, that’s best. AVCHD is a highly compressed format that needs a lot of system resources to play back smoothly. Lacking that, best to convert to a decent editing codec.
