    FYI:
    Just updated from 6.0.5 to 6.0.6 and am now getting a strange crash when opening FCP with my firewire deck set as the I/O.

    I launch FCP and play the timeline out via firewire; channel 1 outputs to the deck over modulated noise and channel 2 is outputting flat. Once this happens if I try to open any of the menu drop downs (File, Edit, View…) FCP hangs up and crashes, occasionally I get an error report listing the “KGCore Plugin” as the culprit.
    I did find this thread on the KGCore plugin, and will try some of the solutions to fix this. https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/8/976905

    To get around this, I launched FCP and before playing anything I switched the I/O to my Kona Card and now everything plays back properly without any hang/crash. Then I opened Log/Capture and set the device and input to firewire and still all is well. Then also test with Edit to Tape set to Firewire.. again no problem.

    The Hang/Crash only seems to happen when I launch FCP with the firewire device set as the I/O…

    Will do all the normal pref. trashing/repairs when I have a moment.. Will report back if crash continues in spite of normal reparations, but for now, if any others have similar trouble, once FCP launches, try switching your I/O (View/Video Playback…) either to another device or turning External Video off, then relaunch and see if that helps.
