Can someone running 6.0.2 on a Mac see if this happens on their system?

Since the update, I get about an 8-frame delay starting or stopping the playhead.
Before the update, it stopped on a dime; now, when I hit STOP, the playhead continues to play.

Spacebar, J/K/L, Play button, any window — all act the same.

    MacPro 4,1 running 10.7.4, 12GB RAM, GTX570.

    many thanks,

I have problems with timeline intermittently not wanting to play video only audio in timeline since updating to 6.0.2 yesterday. Doesn’t respond to space bar stopping or starting.

    Greg
I can confirm the same problem on my Mac Pro. 6.02 causes sluggish keyboard response on playback. I have switched back to 6.0 build, problem is gone.

Thanks, Bill — good news and bad news, I guess. I’m not nuts, but it’s something that needs to be fixed.
I’m still waiting on Adobe (or Wacom) to acknowledge and fix the crufty Wacom handling in the UI, too.

No problems here, I’m on a mid-2011 Macbook Pro with ATI 6750. No cuda….

6.0.2 actually improved this for us. If you’re running an AJA or BMD card or external device, be sure you’re on the latest drivers / plug-ins.

Thanks, Walter — I just updated my Intensity Pro driver, but it didn’t solve the lag problem. Audio files don’t exhibit the problem, only video clips of all flavors.

Just spent a couple of hours going through the same process Greg. Everything plays okay from the source monitor but occasionally when I open a project sequences will only play audio in the timeline. The solution seems to be to close the sequence in the timeline and re-open it (not too bigger deal but it shouldn’t be like that and it wasn’t like that before the update).

The lag however still persists and this is extremely annoying.

Everything was okay until the 6.0.2 update. I’ve tried all configurations, single screen edit, dual screen edit, turn off the Blackmagic Studio output. Updated NVIDIA and Blackmagic drivers. Deleted Preferences, cleaned out cache files etc etc.

I have updated my bm deck link card and am running 6.02 on a 12 core Cuda enabled macpro. I am still having lag issues with the stop function. A good quarter second lag, start is fast but stop lags badly. If I uncheck the BM playback in prebferences all is very snappy. I guess it’s a black magic issue.
    Thanks

    Hi Bill,

I can confirm I’m having the same issue on the PC side of things since 6.0.3. I’m using Decklink HD Extreme 3D. Pressing play is nice and fast, but there is a fair bit of lag when stopping. I don’t remember it being an issue with the last version. I’m going to back to 6.0.0 and see if I’m taking crazy pills or not. But as soon as I uncheck the blackmagic card it all becomes super responsive again.

I downloaded the latest BM drivers but it hasn’t helped.

SO I’ve rolled back to 6.0.0 and playback becomes much more responsive without that lag. Going to try 6.0.1 now.
