6.0 Project Unreadable
Please Help. I had originally edited a film in Final Cut 6 and have over a hundred “auto save” versions from those sessions. It sat for a while but I then took the latest version and did a polish on a different computer using the same version of Final Cut.
That went well and I took that latest session plus the new “auto save” versions back to my computer to then make a DVD. However, when opening, it says the project is unreadable or is “too new” for my version of Final Cut. It is the same version of Final Cut (6.0) on both computers, and the same version I originally used, so that just leaves that it is “unreadable”.
I tried opening the other auto saved sessions and they all get the same message. So I went back to my prior sessions that were completed on my computer (a while ago, but nothing has changed) and ONLY ONE will open normally. And that’s version 1.1. I am up to version 9.7, so that obviously does not help me. But every single other one gets the same message, from 1.2 to 9.6. During my prior editing I had opened many of those versions many times. In addition to the 1.1, I can open other different projects I have been working on just fine.
Why is this happening to this one project? I have opened them in the past, plus the latest session has another 100 auto saved versions that were just created with the same version of Final Cut. And if I can open one of them, you’d think I could open others. Is there anything I can do? Thanks.
