Because my system has PCI Express 16x, PCI Express x1, and PCI-32/33mhz, I haven’t bought a Decklink because it’s “unsupported” in my system due to no PCI-X 66/100/133 slots. However, I’ve been importing my Lightwave Targa sequences into Premiere Pro and they are calculated at 5MB/sec on average. I can play 720×486 Targa Sequences in RAM previews in After Effects 6.5 with full 30fps no problem. Premiere Pro can playback the Targa Sequence 720×486 at 30fps no problem. With this small amount of data throughput (5MB/sec on average for each animation I’ve rendered to Targa files) I’d think a Decklink should still work in my system even though it’s PCI 32-bit/33mhz. I’ve been back and forth with some of the support guys and I know that nobody wants to say it would work, because technically it’s an unsupported configuration, but 5MB/sec seems like peanuts.

    Regards,
    Mark
