    Correct me if I am wrong but I should be able to match the camera’s auto white balance by selecting the corresponding k temperature with the menu. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. Auto white balance, when correct always look better than the custom white balance. When I choose a temperature the image is either too green, blue, yellow, or orange (red).     I thought that moving color tone could help match, but it doesn’t. I have been shooting with canon 5D’s for years now and have always had this issue in some lights but never more so then with the mark iii.

    Can someone shed some light on what is going on here. I obviously need to shoot in manual to avoid correction in the middle of a shot, but hate having the ugly color that comes along with it. Could it be the camera?
