    Hey guys!

Just shot a short film for a 48 hour competition in New Zealand on a canon 5D Mark ii and was hoping that some more experienced with this camera might take a look at what we shot and offer some advice on what works and what doesn’t…

My first time using the camera for video so obviously have a lot to learn. From the 48 hours that I got to use the camera, I loved it and am amazed with what it can do…obviously some issues with overriding the auto settings (auto exposure is the biggest problem that I encountered).

In any case, let me know what you guys think about the overall look of the cinematography!

    Jake,
I enjoyed your film. Funny, well played, nicely done for 48 hour contest. For someone new to the camera, (I haven’t used it yet), looks like you have found a groove already. Nice control of depth of field, good choose of lens lengths. Nicely composed shots, usually good exposure… some times a bit over exposed, but maybe that was intentional. Sound was a problem though… sounds like a camera mic only.
All in all, it’s obvious that you have a good eye. For a first venture with the camera, pretty astounding really.
