    Greetings all.

I have recently joined the team (post production) on a TV series all shot on the Canon 5D Mark II. They record the audio separate and in post the assistants sync it to picture in FCP before it goes to the editors. Ideally we should be using Plural Eyes but are not because every clip that comes out the camera is consistently between 1- 3 frames out of sync, so of course this makes using Plural Eyes pointless. We use a clapper for sync.

Does anyone know why this would be happening and how to fix it?

Everything’s shot @ 25fps and transcoded to ProRes through L&T in FCP. Although I’ve even checked the raw h.264 files and they’re also out of sync.

Thanks everyone, any help is appreciated!

Was the audio recorded @ 25fps? My guess would be that it wasn’t

As far as I’m aware no. Is there a way to change the frame rate of the audio to differ from the frame rate of the video? The video is shot at 1920×1080 @ 25fps.
