59.94 clips into 29.97 seq
Anyone try pasting the clips from a 59.94 sequence into a 29.97 sequence in Final Cut 7.0.1? Doesn’t seem to work for us, and It worked fine in previous versions. This would be a big problem for us when conforming a show from multiple sequences/projects.

Sorry, All Apple Pro res HQ 720p 59.94 clips in a 59.94 seq pasted into apple pro res 720p seq @29.97.

multiple editors on 1 project created sequences at 59.94 and 29.97. need to create one unified sequence at 29.97. Any HELP would be appreciated.

I’d go the other way. Copy the 29.97 and paste in to a 59.94.

Never thought of that.
But why can’t I do the reverse? -
Because 720p is 59.94. If you copy an edited sequence from 59.94 to 29.97, you are throwing away half of the frames and will produce inaccurate motion. If you copy and paste a 30p sequence in to a 59.94 sequence, you will simply get 30p playback with properly rendered in pulldown.
It will look better is the easy answer.
