59:06 starting timecode??!
Hello,
I am having a problem with Avid Symphony right now. I am trying to set my starting timecode to 58:30, but when I do, either through the bin – starting timecode or through sequence info, it sets my starting timecode to 59:06. I go to general settings as well and try to set my default starting timecode to 58:30 and it too switches to 59:06.
I tried another computer and it does the same thing – 59:06. I tried media composer on my laptop, same thing, 59:06. Media composer on my friend’s laptop – 59:06. Seems like a really random timecode, and I understand it happening on two machines at my school, but separate laptops with media composer, what’s going on? It’s such a weird random time I thought I could google search it and find a bunch of stuff but apparently no one else has had this problem… I know it’s weird, but any ideas? Thanks!

Can you change it to anything else first like 00:00:00:00 then back to 58:30? Are you trying drop or non drop?

Does this happen if you use your friends user settings instead of yours?
Does it do it if you create new user settings?
