    Hi all, I would appreciate any help on monitoring and recording audio with my Canon 5D Mk3 and Sound Devices 552. I want to play both to their strengths so any comments and setup help would be great.

    Hello AIden,

    I would attach a mic to the 552 and record at 48kHz 24bit and cable to the 5D or send wireless to the 5D from the 552. Then in post pluraleyes to sync the two and toss the 5D audio away.

    Unless you like the 5D audio.

    I agree with Ty
    Play to their strengths.
    5d shoots nice pictures awful sound
    552 records great sound. No pictures.

    Its a marriage made in heaven.
