    I’m tracking down a 720p capture issue.

FCP still doesn’t remember the correct name of nests when they originate from a PSD file.

not really sure how well it’s operating yet, but we are using it in episodic HD programming.

thanks guys. I hear Media Manger might have been fixed? That’s really the only feature I need fixed – 5.1 can wait until we get into Intel boxes otherwise.

So far no issues. I haven’t tried the aspect of Media Manager that was supposedly fixed yet; although I will be. It is supposed to have fixed handling of clips that have speed changes applied, when you do a “delete unused media” function. Otherwise, I find it actually faster and more stable than 5.0.4 on a PowerPC system so it’s been worth the risk so far

Beside the G5 what other equipment are you using?
Internal Drives, Apple Xserve Raid, AJA Boxes ect.
Any newer bells & whistles in 5.1 that 5.0.4 didn’t have, beside the Media Manger fix?

    Thanks

I’m using a Blackmagic DL Extreme Card, latest drivers, and a combination of both internal and external SATA drives, all running off of a Sonnet 4+4 Host Card. Works well.
