  5.1 levels, dowmix

  Two questions about 5.1.

  Also, I just need a check of my settings. If given a professionally mastered 5.1 mix with 6 stems, the audio tab tends to default 6 channels of dual mono to -3 db. Is this a correct level setting for 5.1 layoffs? Or should it be 0 db?

  I’m sending the mix to an HDCAMSR. Is there a way to have NLEs like FCP do a downmix of those to a Lt / Rt, if I wanted to do a second layoff pass to provide an Lt / Rt stereo mix?
