    Hi everyone!

Up to now I’ve captured some stereo reverbs with stereo impulse responses using a couple of mics (and Logic Utility). I’ve seen also some tutorials about capturing 5.1 reverb with 5 mics, but I haven’t 5 mics ☹
Anyway I thought that a binaural recording simulates 3D space with just a stereo set!
So I wonder if it’s possible in some way to capture a binaural reverb from a stereo mic set, and then convert the binaural reverb into a 5.1 convolution reverb.

Is it possible? And if so, with which software?

    Thanks a lot.

Don’t know about from binaural, but from mono, stereo, and surround formats, yes:

It probably works with binaural, but they don’t call it out separately from stereo. IDK for sure.

    Thanks for your reply.
Yes, it’s not exactly what I was searching for: IR360 needs no less than 4 channels-sweep (anyway I could record the sweep 2 times: one for L-R, and the other for Ls-Rs).
So… yes, probably it’s the best available thing.
