  5.1 / 7.1 sounds to 2.1

  This might be a bit stupid question but I thought to still ask it.

  Let’s say, I have 5.1 or 7.1 audio track in my video that I start to edit with Sony Vegas HD Platinum.

  I choose the properties of the project in the start and set it to be 2.1 . Then I edit the video and decide to render it for 2.1 speaker systems.

  Do I lose the audio of those 3 / 5 left over speakers, or does it include all of the audio data into the 2.1 audio track?
