Trying to update to 5.0.2 from 5.0.1 via software update. It’s not checked. So I check it, and then it appears to run through the download, but the install is super quick, and when it’s done, it says that it isn’t installed. Get info still says I’m at version 5.0.2.

Running dual 1ghz, mdd, 10.3.9, QT 7 all DV system.

Figured it out and it’s quite annoying. Since software update wasn’t working, I downloaded the update and tried it locally. When I ran it from there, it said that I didn’t have a copy of Final Cut Pro version 5.0 or 5.0.1 installed, and to make sure it’s in the apps folder and called “Final Cut Pro.”

err… no apple. When I updated FCP you still left it titled Final Cut Pro “HD.” I deleted the “HD” and it updated.

I’m not imagining things, am I? Final Cut called itself HD previously, or did I tack that on for some reason. Anyway, fixed it. Still can’t get DVD studio pro 4 to create a button or utilize any templates or even import iDVD without hanging.
