5.02 timecode problem with r3d
I’m having an issue with r3d build 30 timecode in PP CS5 5.02.
When shot at 23.976, premiere seems to interpret the timecode incorrectly, for example a particular clip that actually starts at 15:51:43:21 is showing up in the preview and on the timeline as starting at 15:50:46:19. This creates obvious issues, not the least of which is that EDL exports for DI are completely effed up.
Having this problem on two systems – one is a PC running win7 64 pro, the other a Mac running OSX Leopard.

Does this clip that’s showing the problem have both video and audio? We’ve got a known bug with some clips that have both video and audio, but we have yet to see it affect a clip with only video.
The more details you can give me about the clip, the better.

Yes, all clips tested have 2 audio channels embedded.

Thanks for confirming.
We have a bug in the reading of timecode from R3D assets with multiple audio channels. This shouldn’t affect video-only assets or assets with only one audio channel.
We’re working on a fix.
