  5 screen project

  Last year I did a 16:9 5 screen installation for a museum. Fortunately I was able to do it on a DS Nitris where the 5 DVEs, CCs and Fades were all realtime thus allowing me to see how the 5 layers interacted with each other….realtime. Needless to say the lack of rendering was what added to the creative process. Now I think that FCP allows the same RT freedom right?

  If I were to do that same Standard Def 5 screen project and wanted real time 5 layer DVEs what would be the best configuration of a FCP workstation to achieve this? What are the realtime possibilities with HD?

  I realize once effects like blurs etc are added that RT decreases considerably.
