4×3 titlesafe in 16×9 enviroment

You have to adjust your camera when you change your output resolution.
if you have not found it already you can turn on a render safe, title safe option in the viewport.
press shift V while in the viewport.

Thanks for the quick response…I have found title safe, it’s just that when I change my output to 1920×1080 the title safe changes as well as my view(zooms in and crops)…I noticed in Render Settings if I make Film Format (Manual) insteed of (Automatic) the view does not change. (Resolution) is 1920x1080HDVS but (Film Format) stays at 720×486? we are about to go HD but still need everything(logos and such) to fit within 4×3…I’m rendering out to Avids with a Avid DNxHD Codec…in regards to your response how do I change camera settings?…thanks in advance!

Your camera has some options in the Object tag of the attribute manager (lower right corner).
But it is pretty limited.
I know when we went HD I had to reframe the cameras to fit 1920*1080 too and i could not get it just with camera settings I had actually move all the cameras back to get the right framing.

Thanks Randy, I was afraid of that…I stumbled upon camera settings by accident (Object Properties)and ajusting field of view helped enough to keep from moving the cameras physically! I’m still new to C4d and was hoping to find some kind of magic button(s)…Thank you for your help…

IDK If it’s possible in previous versions but in R13 in the viewport options under the action and title safe options the is a center check box. click on that and it provides the center cut lines for each.
