4K workflow suggestions, PC vs Mac and more
I’ve been a professional photographer for most of my working career, and want to start getting into video production. I recently purchased a GH4 so that I can experiment with capturing 4K video and downsample to 1080p. Being a newbie in the video world, I have a few questions. I am torn between two computers, both running Adobe CS6. I spend lots of time with my mac, because of the dual monitors and thunderbolt storage. That said, my PC has lots of horsepower, and I want to use the cuda capabilities with the video card to help with rendering

Windows 8.1 ProDoes anyone have any recommendations of the best workflow? I enjoy working on the mac, and was planning on taking files (via external thunderbolt drive) to my PC for rendering. Should I import from the GH4 and convert to any particular format before working in Premier? I have the ProRes codecs on the mac, but not DNxHD, as Premier CS6 is 64bit. On the PC, I don’t think I have either codec.
Any opinions/suggestions/etc are appreciated.
