4k workflow for HD output
Hi,
I think this may have been asked before but …I have some 4K footage which was shot at 3504 x 2326. I need to delver that at HD 1920×1080.
I did an initial Render and everything looks very good but the aspect ratio is wrong (1.5 instead of 1.777). I need as much of the frame as I can get so I’m thinking I need to drop 177 lines from the top and bottom.What is the easiest way of doing that?

You just start Vegas with a project settings of the 1920 x 1080
and drag your 4K content to the timeline and can go in the
Event Pan/crop window of your video on the timeline, right click
and select: Match Output Aspect

thanks for that. I gave it a go and it did a pretty good job.
The video comes out looking good and everything is there except that it is very letterboxed.
I think the main problem is the way it was shot, i.e., there probably were some better options that would have scaled down to 16:9.Anyway, it looks good enough for the purposes intended.
