4k timeline or 1080?
Hi there
I am sure I have seen the answer for this but want to be double sure.
So I am shooting 4K for a short film.
There is no delivery spec required but it would be nice to have a 4k master –
In the past I have imported 4k onto a 1080 timeline and set frame size (not scale frame size as I have heard thats not the way to do it) I have also had some 1080 slo mo so it seemed fitting
With the short film there will be no 1080 – all 4k –
SO
Should I continue as i have been OR edit in a 4k timeline and when it comes to exporting a 1080 version just do it in media encoder OR edit in a 4k timeline and if i need to kick out a 1080 pull it in to a 1080 timeline set all the clips to frame size and export it from there (that would be time consuming but very doable) Will there be much difference between these?
Also , I may be using alot of Warp stabilizer and premire doesn’t like warp stabilizer on 4k footage in a 1080 timeline.Would love any thoughts — thanks so much in advance

Without a doubt, edit in a 4K timeline. When you need a 1080 version, export 1080 from the 4K timeline.
