4k screen – program monitor scaling too small
Hi,
I’m using Premiere CC 2015 on a laptop with a 3840×2160 screen.
It’s on Windows 10 so I set the display settings to scale apps and text to 200%. This works nicely for Premiere’s interface but I’ve got a weird situation with the program monitor.
When I set it to 100% it looks way too small, like half the “real” resolution.
Here it is for a 1920×1080 sequence:
I expected it if anything to double the size because of the way Windows is scaling the app, but it’s done the opposite.
I can’t work out if this means I’m losing resolution as I edit, but if so I need to sort it out!
I’m using:
Premiere CC 2015 9.2
Windows 10
i7-6700HQ
GTX 960MAny ideas?

Based on your description…
It looks like the PPro video overlays aren’t respecting the 200% factor of the windows 10 settings to me…
though I have no direct experience here.
I wouldn’t fear that you you’re actually losing source data because of it.
export a piece and see how it looks outside the application.

It exports fine, just trying to make sure I’m not losing detail when playing the sequence.
I think when I zoom to fit it’s in the right resolution in which case I’ve no need to worry.
Has anyone else encountered this?
