Sorry if this has been asked – I read a number of threads but couldnt find an answer.

I have a client who wants 4k (3840×2160) for youtube

I rendered the file (10mins in length) in XAVC and it was 14GB – too big to send via drop box. He said he usually gets files of about 2.5GB.

So I tried XAVCs and it made a 7GB file but all the sound was choppy and cut in and out.

Does anyone know the prefrences and render settings I should use to produce a 4K video of rough 3GB that works?
I saw a video that suggested youtube4096 but I don’t have this render setting.

    Thanks so much!

Here are the specs for YouTube: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en

I normally exceed those bitrate standards on upload by 25% to 50% to maintain quality due to the re-encode that YouTube does.

You do not mention frame rate in your format specification, or duration of the material.

XAVC-s LGOP at 60Mbs for a 4k image is pretty compressed already, unless they are expecting HEVC/x265 format.
