    Hi

We are testing workflows for a series that we want to master in UHD (3840×2160).
In HD, we have always done a mixdown to prores and same as source export to avoid quicktime gamma shifts.
I see that there is no same as source export option in UHD. What is the recommended workflow to get a “mezzanine” quality UHD export out of Media Composer? Exporting to prores 444 RGB seems to work without a gamma shift – can anyone confirm this or suggest any other workflows?
Using latest MC on new Mac Pro.
    Thanks

    Chris

I hear that DNxHR is next up to be delivered as an update to 8.3. I am also told that Resolve will be releasing DNxHR support fairly soon, so you could take your mixdown exported out as an AAF, open in Resolve and export deliverbales from there. 8.3 did release with limited support for file-based 4K support other than DPX…

Extact dates unknown on either of those, but I suspect sooner than later.
