44.1 khz long rendering times
My employer converted a bunch of Flip footage the is 720p to Apple prores 422(HQ). The original footage has an audio signature of 44.1khz, its the same in prores. We have over 11 hours of footage o a timeline that we are trying to cut down. Only problem is that we can’t without waiting days for half the footage to render. The first couple hours is watchable via blue line and then from on it is spotted by red and green.

Processor Speed: 2.8 GHz
Number Of Processors: 2
Total Number Of Cores: 8
Memory: 10 GB
Bus Speed: 1.6 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 2600I am using a gdrive tb drive through esata.
How can I render these clips without waiting days? -

Your employer transcoded all eleven hour improperly. The proper way to do it changes the audio to 48hkz 16-bit PCM.
Also, the proper settings for transcoding Flip video should be at ProRes 720p at 59.94. Most people don’t get that right either.

Right now I am exporting a huge quicktime file, in order to avoid re doing it all. Thanks for your help. Are there any other solutions to this problem? Or should we start all over?

There’s no substitute for doing things the right way from the get go.
Below is a droplet for Compressor I created to transcode Flipcam MP4 to ProRes. I’ve done 70-hours using this… Just walk away from it over the weekend and when you return you’ll be a happy camper.
