    Hi All,

Having a moment here! Putting a commercial spot together for a network that broadcast in 720p. No problem, but everything has to be 4:3 crop safe. Is there a 4:3 overlay or something to use as reference for this? The project is all 1080p stuff, but didn’t think the 1080 action/title safe area would be right. I’m sure the answer is right in front of me…

    Thanks for responses,
    John

Actually, no there isn’t an answer for this in Vegas. You would have to create an overlay in a program like Photoshop or I supposed you could do it with Generated Media.

Thanks John, Found a couple on the internet. Worked out pretty good. As much editing as you do, what do you use for making sure your HD projects are SD safe for broadcast?

    Thanks,
    John G

The broadcasters I have been working with deliver SD as letterboxed 16:9 so it’s not been a problem. This is very common these days.
