  4;3 and 16;9 output settings autopilot?

  I’ve been using Premiere for five years now, shooting in anamorphic 16;9, editing the project then compressing it in After Effects to make it letterbox. This was a time consuming pain — especially when I had a slow computer.

  I just read the manual to Magic Bullet Suite, which says that if your footage is 16:9, set the project for 4:3 and After Effects will automatically letterbox the project when you output.

  Is this true?

  More importantly, is this true for Premiere?

  Do I set the project for 4:3, then interpret the anamorphic footage as 16:9? Or would I set the output settings at 4:3?

  Thanks for enlightening me on this all-to-obvious-if-it’s-true workflow.
