  4:2:2 MPEG

  Hi there,
  I have limited experience in encoding MPEG2 other than for DVD.
  With PremPro2, the software comes with what i beliece is a test drive Main Concept encoder that is able to do 4:2:2 and bitrates of 30mg per sec. (and much more)

  Can anyone with tell me if this is a high quality encoder and how it compares to perhaps the equivalent streams made by Pixeltools etc. Im looking to output some files for viewing in a digital cinema. Not DCI compilant..and smaller arthouse cinema. THe source files will be digital beta and HDcam.
