400 speed firewire imac osx. fast enough to transfer video from final cut to my external hard drive?
quick question. If I have an imac osx with 400 speed firewire connections. Is that fast enough to transfer video from final cut to an external hard drive. Reasons why I am asking this question. My imac is getting overloaded with videos and I don’t have the space on my drive to finish the job I am working on (wedding). In case you are wondering… Yes. I just bought my first mac.

FW 400 is fast enough for DV. You shouldn’t store any video on your system drive.
