40 sec video exports as 1 min
I’m working in final cut studio 2 and have a 40 sec sequence I’m trying to export as a h.264. When I export the video has an extra 20 seconds of black at the end. I haven’t changed any preferences and I’m exporting the same way I’ve done for years. I’ve never had this problem. I’ve trashed preferences but that didn’t work. I’m sure its something very simple. Orginal videos were h.264 I converted them to pro res 422 for editing.

FCP exports the entire timeline – do you have any stray anything at the 3 min point? If so, make an In/Out on the timeline before you export.

There is nothing else in the timeline. I’ve tried exporting with in and out points, in and out points and the clips selected, no in and out points, just the clips selected and ive tried all of that in a new sequence and new project
