We are recording a singer / guitarist using 4 mics.
I need to lay down 4 separate tracks onto a four track video deck,

    Can the 1604 do this?

I thought of using the two main outs and the mute/alt 3-4 for the other two.
Can this be done like this?

    Thanks

Better still, use the 4 sub outs.

The subs work fine for this. Assign Mic 1 to Subs 1/2. Be sure to pan Mic 1 to the left or you’ll send the signal to both Subs 1 & 2.

Assign mic 2 to Subs 1/2 and pan to the right.
Assign mic 3 to Subs 3/4 and pan to the left.
Assign mic 4 to Subs 3/4 and pan to the right.
