Recently we been noticing the out going signal for titles created within FCP, -4 IRE or -6 on black. The internal scopes read 0 but the outgoing signal is reading these negative values on our 601 Tektronix scopes. Program and Bars look fine on either scopes, except for the text. Everything has been SDI on the outgoing and the problem appears the same in every frequency and setting.

    We’ve viewed this on a KONA3 and I/O Box

    I/O we’re using:
    FCP 5.1.4
    QT 7.4.5
    Driver I/O 2.2

    Kona 3 we’re using
    FCP 6.0.3
    QT 7.4.5
    Driver 5.1

    2 x WFM 601a Tektronix

    Any feedback would be appreciated

    Thanks

nothing like having real scopes. Well, as you know, you can’t sent out video below 0 IRE. You need to determine what color levels (black) that you can and cannot use for the text that you are choosing. It’s ain’t your Kona card doing this, and there is no broadcast limiter function !
