    Hello all,

FCP 6.0 trying to output 4 track master.

all tracks are routed correctly both on the time line as well as the sequence audio settings, sony VTR selected and I can see 4 tracks playing back on dbeta deck when playing off the timeline.

When I go to “edit to tape” FCP only selects ch1&2 and all other tracks are greyed out.

    I’ve trashed preferences, restarted, etc.

This is for Broadcast so “print to tape” is not an option.

I can always punch in 3/4 at the deck, but that seems a bit ridiculous.

    any thoughts would be appreciated.

How many audio channels appear in the Edit to Tape Window? Check your Device Control Preset under – A/V Settings and make sure you are using an appropriate setting with 4 channels of audio!
    Hope this helps

Forgive any redundancy, but this is what I check when I have this problem.

Make sure you have all tracks set to 4 channel dual mono in your sequence audio settings. (cmd-0).

Make sure you have each tracks output assigned to the correct track you want to lay back to
(option-click to the left of each track name on the sequence and select ‘audio outputs’ to assign them).

That’s all I gots. Good luck!
